Joplin Rifle & Pistol Club Range Rules
- Be courteous to other shooters and practice safe gun handling at all times.
- Only members and member’s guests are allowed on the range.
- Rough sighting in and bore sighting should first be done at the 25 yard ‘plinking’ range.
- Keep firearms pointed down range at all times.
- Do not handle firearms while people are down range. Have your firearm unloaded with actions open with empty chamber indicators inserted.
- All members using the range must display or carry on their persons proper identification and if challenged, they must produce their identification or leave the range immediately.
- Eye and ear protection is mandatory.
- Place targets only on the target stands provided.
- When range is open to the public, shooting event, or workday, no other shooting activity is permitted.
- Check and clear the range before going downrange.
- No alcohol is permitted on the premises except during the annual club picnic, when the range is officially closed.
- Metallic targets are prohibited on the ‘plinking’ range.
- Keep the gate locked and change the combination after you enter and when you leave.
- Any member found breaking these rules may have their membership revoked.
